You Can(t) Get Everything You Want

Okay, let me go straight. Lately I heard a lot of sad-true-stories MOSTLY about heart-breaking and it make me thinking. Why we can't get what we want? Why everything falls down right in front of me? Why world is not fair to me? Why God let us face this problem? Is God not love me? And hundred of "WHY" pop up in my head. After sometime, a lot of coffee, and many time of chit-chat with others, here's my conclusion. (DISCLAIMER : I'm not a preacher oh-so-whatever, so this is PURE my thoughts).

Definitely, God love you and me. All of us know this fact, no doubt. God knows what the best for us, but the problem we're chasing what we see and desire.

"God, I want him/her", and God is saying "No".

“God I want to marry him/her”, and God is saying “No”.

etc

etc

etc

,still God is saying "No".

Let me say this once again. God knows what the best for us, He not see things like we do, because He see way beyond our thoughts. Probably we have met people who look good outside and we chase for him/her. Turn out that people we chase are full of lust, pride, sin, and may not even be seeking God. You don’t see that, all you see is “God has forgotten me and I’m tired of waiting…. I’ll just do my own thing.”

Clearly the Bible says to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, everything else that we need will be added later (Matthew 6:33). Understand that if you (or me) don’t have it yet, it’s simply not your (or my) season for it. Whatever God has for you can be delayed a little, but the devil can not deny what God has for you.

Trust God when you don’t understand. God is always speaking to us, but there are times when we don’t know what God is doing and we simply have to trust Him. Don’t complain when things don’t go according to your plan, just pray for the grace to be patient for your answers.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-6‬)
